Crime figures are continuing to fall on the Island.
The latest statistics show a 4.2 per cent fall during 2013 to 2014 with substantial reductions across many categories.
Most notably the police have achieved success in combating domestic burglary, as well as criminal damage, assaults and public order offences.
At the other end of the scale domestic violence and sexual abuse cases have jumped considerably - but as we found out from chief constable Gary Roberts there are some positives to take from this:
