Concern is mounting as to how gridlocked Ramsey will be on Sprint day without the use of the Swing Bridge for cars.
Despite good progress it has been confirmed that the bridge won't be ready for vehicles come June 3rd, they will however open it to pedestrians.
The renovation works hit a snag back in February when it was discovered that the 20 iron wheels within the bridge were one inch undersized, and needed to be rebuilt off Island.
There is expected to be serious volumes of traffic in the town for the event, locals are urged to walk and leave their cars at home.
The bridge will be available to pedestrians from 9.00am to 6.00pm on the day.
