6 year old girl airlifted to hospital

Kirk Michael firefighters were called to assist with a medical emergency during last nights practice session.

It was away from the race action and concerned a six year old girl who had fallen from her bike and was potentially unconscious.

The girl was transferred to the Air Med team and helicoptered to Nobles hospital with minimum delay.

The Fire Safety Team say the challenge going forward will be to maintain this level of service, whilst meeting the budgetary restraints imposed on them.
