Strong support for armed forces covenant in first year

The Island's Armed Forces Community Covenant has had a busy first year.

Set up by Rushen MHK Juan Watterson it endeavours to support local residents who serve, or have served, in the British Armed Forces.

It's main focus is to ensure veterans and active personnel are not disadvantaged by their service - particularly if they've been injured in the line of duty.
