TT organisers say racer Simon Andrews will be ‘sorely missed’ following his death yesterday.
The 29-year-old rider died from injuries sustained in a crash at the North West 200 on Saturday.
He was due to compete in this year’s TT after making his debut in 2011 finishing 11th in both the Superstock and Senior TT.
He followed this with another 11th place in the 2013 Senior TT after a ‘superhuman effort’ to overcome injuries sustained the year before.
Race bosses say he impressed fans with his ‘all action style’ and commitment around the Mountain Course as well as his ‘indomitable spirit’.
They say he fought back from accidents and injuries that would have finished the careers of lesser men and have passed on condolences to his family and friends.
