Dog owners in the west of the Island are being warned to control their animals after the death of a number of lambs.
Four two-week old lambs have been gripped and shaken by a dog in the fields directly above Glen Maye - killing them in the process.
It's happened at some point between Monday and Tuesday - it appears to be the action of one dog being exercised routinely in the area.
Aside from the distress caused to the animals the farmer involved has suffered financial loss.
Police say it's a reminder that farmers are within their rights to shoot dead any dog which is worrying livestock on their land.
