Budget cuts have led to two areas of the Island being brought under the control of a single police inspector.
The south and western neighbourhood policing teams are now being managed by Inspector Darrill Pearson.
It’s a decision being blamed on the financial pressures facing the constabulary and follows the promotion of the southern inspector to acting chief inspector.
Neighbourhood policing has been attributed to the reason crime levels on the Island remain consistently low.
