People have been urged to keep their dogs under control at a crucial period in time for Island farmers.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has asked pet owners to keep their animals on a lead near farmland, hill land and nature reserves.
It coincides with lambing season which is particularly important this year after the heavy snowfall last March killed hundreds of animals.
Farmers have the right to prevent their livestock being disturbed and dog owners can also be prosecuted.
