The Island’s head of tourism says she feels the industry’s contribution to the Manx economy is often overlooked.
That’s despite people spending almost £107 million on trips to the Isle of Man last year.
Data collected in the 2013 passenger survey shows that on average visitors spent £367 per visit – with people spending an average of five nights here.
There was also a five per cent increase in the number of people staying in paid accommodation.
