Setting minimum wage a 'tough balancing' act says Chief Minister
Sat, 29 Mar 2014
The Chief Minister says setting a revised minimum wage for the Island is a tough balancing act.
A review into the existing rate has been launched, with a view to increase it in line with the UK’s, which is 10 pence higher.
As it stands the minimum wage for Island workers is £6.40.
Chief Minister Bell says they must be careful any increases are sustainable.
