A review into the Island’s minimum wage is being conducted.
The Minimum Wage Committee is inviting evidence from interested parties concerning a potential increase to the wage.
As it stands the UK has its set at £6.50 per hour, which is an extra 10 pence per hour more than the Island’s current rate.
Economic Development Minister John Shimmin says the minimum wage represents an important part of government’s aim to protect the vulnerable and make work pay.
