Alan Kinrade was the only shooter to score a perfect 25/75 in the first round of Ayre Clay Target Club’s Summer Down the Line league at Blue Point on Sunday, kindly sponsored by Dave and Pam Corlett. Martin Kneen was one point behind on 25/74 with Kevin Oates scoring 25/72 and Phil Ward scoring 24/71.
Kinrade again hit all 25 targets in his second round, using the second barrel once for 25/74. This gave him the win from Kneen, Oates and Ward in joint second place.
Five shooters went on to shoot the 100 league, with Arthur Hayes coming out on top scoring 92/268. Phil Ward was second on 89/260 with Stephen Sayle third on 87/250.

This week at Blue Point is the 2 day Olympic Trap selection shoot, sponsored by Top Spec Fencing. Entries close at 12.30 on Saturday for a 1.45pm start.
Sunday’s competition is also a 50 bird league shoot with entries closing at 10.30 am. Practice in other disciplines will be available.
