No figure is yet available for how much a legal case cost which saw a planning clause in the Southern Area Plan abolished.
Infrastructure Minister Laurence Skelly was asked for the figures in Tynwald – he also confirmed a hearing for costs may be required in future.
Last month it was ruled that the LP21 clause – which banned development on Langness unless it was in relation to the golf course and hotel – should be removed.
The Deemster found the insertion of the rule was largely due to the political members of the department preferring the views of the interested parties rather than planning officers.
