MHKs are criticising a decision to centralise certain government services saying the local economy will suffer.
It stems from the decision to streamline caretaking, cleaning and catering services within the Department of Education and Children.
The issue will be raised in tomorrow’s sitting of Tynwald when the Chief Minister is asked whether this is in the best interests of society.
Concerns have been raised that central purchasing will mean food and other supplies will now be sourced off-Island.
