The Infrastructure Minister has vowed to review a decision to stop driving examiners educating year 11 pupils on starting to drive.
The scheme was discontinued at the start of this year as a money saving measure.
As part of the service the 16 year olds were told about getting a licence, the importance of responsible motoring once road legal, and why professional lessons are recommended.
The issue has been very much under the spotlight this week following last weekend’s car crash on the switchback road, in which a 14 year old girl lost her life.
