North Douglas MHK's want sheltered accommodation scheme for old prison site

The two north Douglas MHK’s say they have a clear idea of what they’d like to see fill the old Victoria Road prison site.

Both Bill Henderson and John Houghton have campaigned to have the prime spot redeveloped for a long time now.

A consultation has been launched this week to allow the input of the public and anyone putting forward a development proposal.

Bill Henderson told us the North Douglas area is currently desperate for single housing units and sheltered accommodation in the public sector.
