80 competitors are listed on the result sheet of the BSR Championship, News of the World Cup. The listed names have completed the postal section of the match and all scores above 296 x 300 qualify for the final match which is held at the home of British shooting, Bisley Range in Surrey. Rachel Glover, York based Manx lass and British Prone Champion, along with local publican and 300 metre World Champion, Harry Creevy, both scored identical scores of 297 x 300 and therefore will compete in the finals at Bisley. Glover was shooting under her home club, Easingwold and Creevy, under Laxey Rifle Club. The qualifying round was headed by well-known and regular Easter Shoot competitor, Mark Szymankiewicz who dropped just a single shot recording 299 x 300. Best wishes to both Rachel and Harry for the final round and hopefully, the trophy will return to the custody of a Manx shooter once again.
