Wind speeds reach 80mph as storm hits Island

Wind speeds reached 80 miles per hour last night as the Island was battered by stormy conditions.
Emergency services, Civil Defence volunteers and the MEA were out in force dealing with problems.
The Department of Infrastructure also had 15 teams on standby, describing itself as 'fully stretched'.
The storm peaked between 7pm and 9pm with fallen trees and power lines causing numerous issues.
