Fifteen shooters took part in the fourth round of Ayre Clay Target Club’s winter down the line league in bright but cold and blustery conditions at Blue Point on Sunday.
Mike Walker was the leader after the first round of 25 clays, scoring 24/69. Marty Kneen and Phil Ward were just one point behind on 23/68 and 24/68.
Kevin Oates had the highest points total in the second round, shooting 34/71. Kneen had done enough, however, to take the win with a total of 47/139. Ward was second with 48/138 and Oates was third on 47/136.

A Class: 1, Martin Kneen 47/139; 2, Phil Ward 48/138; 3, Kevin Oates 47/136.
B Class: 1, Alan Kinrade 47/135; 2, Dave Corlett 39/112.
C Class: 1, Keith Jones 42/118; 2, Paul Mihailovits 39/112; 3, Jack Kneen 38/110.
New shooters this week, Gareth Hooson-Owen, Nick Coole and Jay Coole all shot well considering the windy conditions, see you soon, hopefully when it’s not so windy!
