DEC bought 946 computers since academic year started

Almost £750,000 has been spent on buying new laptops for Island teachers.

The Department of Education and Children has purchased 946 computers since the start of the academic year.

They have replaced laptops that were bought four years ago, and according to the department are essential for teachers to prepare and deliver lessons.

Questions have been raised as to what will happen to older computers, as well as 265 pupils laptops - which are being removed from circulation.
