The Countryside Care Scheme on the Island is beginning to pay dividends – helping Manx farming become more resilient and market focused.
That’s the view of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which says it welcomes a review of it by a Tynwald committee.
The majority of farmers are said to be in support of the scheme – although those opposed are said to have found enthusiastic ‘mouthpieces’ in newer members of Tynwald.
