The Isle of Man is ‘punching above its weight’ when it comes to shipping.
That’s the view of the director of the Isle of Man Ship Registry after it moved into 14th place in the table of world registers.
Last year the registry increased its gross registered tonnage by 7.4 per cent - more than twice the growth rate of the world’s fleet.
It means the Island is being seen as an attractive option for ship owners and operators.
