Police officer accused of assault

A police officer has appeared in court charged with assault.

31 year old Charlene Dooley from Laxey is accused of common assault, causing actual bodily harm and affray.

The Isle of Man Constabulary confirms that a serving female police officer appeared in court on 27th December accused of offences not relating to her duties.

The constable is currently suspended from work.

No pleas were entered in court and Dooley was bailed until her next appearance on 14th January.
