Burglar strikes while elderly man is in hospital

A burglar has struck at the home of an elderly man who was spending Christmas in hospital.

Police in Peel describe the crime as 'deplorable.'

The flat at the Castle Street Apartments was broken into sometime between 23rd and 27th December.

The thief took a small safe containing money and premium bonds.
