People are being urged to think twice before calling for an ambulance.
Whilst people enjoy the festive period the Island's Ambulance Service is maintaining a 24/7 service.
Traditionally there is a spike in call outs during the holidays - although not all cases actually require a paramedic team.
People are now being asked to consider whether they would be better suited using another service.
