Once again, just four of the eight local teams were represented at Sinclair on Monday evening for the four man team Knockout Cup, which incidentally was excellently organised by Kirk Michael Rifle Club. In the first round, the IoMSC Douglas ‘B’ team of Dave Humphrey, Nick Brown, Mike Clague and Thomas Clague were drawn against the four Kirk Michael members Perryn Callister, Kevin Quinn, Suzanne McKnight and Illiam Christian and ten points separated the two once marked. IoMSC Douglas – Humphrey 94, Brown 96, Clague 96 and Clague 96 = 382 x 400, Kirk Michael - Callister 92, Quinn 97, McKnight 89 and Christian 95 – 372. The IoMSC Douglas proceeded to the Semi-Final. The Semi-Final draw saw IoMSC Sandsiders v Laxey and IoMSC Douglas ‘A’ v IoMSC Douglas ‘B’. The Sandsiders team of Bill Jones, Tony Kneale, Steve Callus and Richard Arthur lost to the Laxey team of Harry Creevy, John Wood, Nick Kennish and Judy Kee. IoMSC Sandsiders – Jones 95, Kneale 94, Callus 88 and Arthur 98 = 375 x 400, Laxey – Creevy 99, Wood 98, Kennish 95 and Kee 93 = 385. A closer match followed between the two IoMSC Douglas teams with the ‘B’ team producing 382 -  Humphrey 99, Mike Clague 97, Thomas Clague 96 and Brown 90 = 382 x 400 with the ‘A’ team going 3 points better with Mark Osborn 98, Martin Burns 98, Andy Potter 97 and Tracey Skelton 92 – 385. The final produced the best team score of the evening with the victors Laxey, posting 389 helped with a terrific 100 from John Wood. Final result - Laxey – Wood 100, Nick Kennish 98, Harry Creevy 97 and Judy Kee 94 = 389 x 400 with Skelton 98, Potter 97, Osborn 96 and Burns 94 recording 385 x 400 for the IoMSC Douglas team. Many thanks must go to the evening’s Range Officer, Chris Fayle and markers, Perryn Callister and Suzanne McKnight – an excellent evening of competitive shooting was had by all – thank you Kirk Michael.
