The Steam Packet company has been forced to make a number of changes to todays sailing schedule as a result of the recent prolonged period of adverse weather.
The early morning Heysham crossing was not able to happen as a result of yesterday's cancellations, however it is hoped the later crossing back to Heysham will go ahead as planned.
The 7.30pm Dublin crossing has been cancelled and will instead travel to Heysham to allow delivery of essential freight supplies to and from the Island.
Dublin passengers have been transferred onto the 7.45pm Heysham crossing and will be given onward connections, at Steam Packet expense, with an aircraft charter a likelihood.
It is hoped this move will ensure the greater majority of parcels and perishable goods will reach their intended targets by Christmas.
