The Department for Economic Development says once UK fracking is regulated correctly and environmentally sustainable, specialists in the Isle of Man will consider taking the same route.
More than half of Britain will step up the search to frack for shale gas and oil under the plans.
A UK Government-commissioned report has shown that approximately 2,880 wells could be drilled, generating up to a fifth of annual gas demand and creating jobs.
