There's bad news for motorists as vehicle duty is set to increase in April next year.
It will rise by 5 per cent as the Department of Infrastructure looks for ways to make up the drop in money it receives from Treasury.
The money raises over £12 million for Infrastructure’s coffers each year.
MHK Leonard Singer - who has responsibility for the department - says it's a necessary step if people want continued maintenance work on the roads:
