The Island’s director of education says he realises that cuts in some areas of education have been difficult to accept.
Martin Barrow has been reflecting on his career after announcing his retirement.
He will retire at Easter next year after 36 years working in education on the Isle of Man.
The Department of Education and Children says the position will be advertised shortly.
Describing his career as ‘long and rewarding’ Martin says it has thrown up more challenges in recent years:
