Holiday accommodation for the summer is scarce following the fire at the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club.
That's the view of the political member with responsibility for tourism - who says the local visitor economy will suffer if a solution isn't reached.
Last month a fire caused extensive damage to the accommodation building - reducing the hotel's bed capacity by just under half.
Businesses in the tourism sector are working with government to facilitate the extra 100 bed spaces needed to prevent problems during events like the TT.
