If UK press reports are to be believed we could be about to experience the coldest, snowiest winter in 70 years.
Early reports indicate regular snowfall over the next three months.
The Island has already experienced its first snow of the season, however many will be hoping the white stuff will be down to a minimum following the devastation it caused to the farming community in March.
Met Office forecaster Colin Gartshore is allaying fears - saying it's impossible to predict at this early stage:
