Public interest in naming HoK constituencies

Just over 30 people submitted suggestions for what the new House of Keys constituencies should be called.

Members of the public were invited to give feedback on what they wanted the 12 new look areas to be named.

Tynwald approved a decision to change the political make up of the Island after a review by the Independent Boundary Review Committee earlier this year.

The new names will now be put forward in the People Amendment Bill and can be found on the government website.

The bill is expected to go before the House of Keys and Legislative Council in the next few weeks.
