Twenty two shooters took part in the first round of Ayre Clay Target Club’s Winter English Skeet League at Blue Point in cool but clear conditions.

Jeff Corkill and Kevin Oates led at the half way stage of the 50 target competition, both scoring perfect 25s. Keith Jones, Michael Cross, Tony Cuffe, Richard Davies and Eileen Jones were one clay behind on 24.

Keith Jones scored 25 in the second round to score 49 and take the win. Stan Cross scored the other 25 straight of the second round to finish in joint second with Corkill and Eileen Jones on 48.
