As the Island marks Armistice Day today the Chief Minister says more needs to be done to highlight the Island’s involvement in conflict.
The Isle of Man will mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War next year.
Official records show that 82 per cent of the male population of military age enlisted in the war effort – that’s over 8,000 men.
A working group has been established to help coordinate commemorative efforts.
