In Archery UK field archery each archer shoots 3 arrows at 24 targets with the first day unmarked distances and the second day marked distances. Distances range from 5 to 60 metres . Targets range in size from 20cm diameter bunny shot up to 80 cm diameter at the longer distances.Field archery can require the archer to shoot uphill and downhill, across slopes and varying terrain and also through different light conditions and wind conditions. The course was set in a mature plantation and well placed targets led to some challenging shots. Weather on the first day was showery and on the second day wet and windy.
