The Job Centre says job interviews conducted last week were simply a way of helping Prowind UK ‘test’ the job market on the Isle of Man.
The Economic Development Minister, and his CEO, were questioned this week by the Economic Policy Review Committee as to why the interviews were allowed to go ahead with no firm plans in place.
Interviews took place last week between representatives from Prowind and local applicants for over 100 posts.
Concerns have been raised about why government was seen to be supporting the onshore wind farm venture - a prospect that has since been pulled.
