Subcontractors who have been carrying out building work on a new social housing development are being paid properly.
That’s according to the Social Care Minister who was forced to defend the Janet’s Corner project yesterday.
Parkinson Ltd is building 73 new housing units on the Castletown estate – with 34 due to be sold to first time buyers.
The project was supposed to be finished in July but is currently running over schedule.
Two Onchan MHKs have raised concerns that workers on the project weren’t being paid properly – something Chris Robertshaw disputes:
