A Southern 100 rider who was killed while racing died from 'misadventure'.
Coroner John Needham recorded the verdict after resuming the inquest of Mark Madsen-Mygdal yesterday.
The 23-year-old Douglas man was competing in the 600cc race on July 11th when he was involved in a collision at Stadium Bend.
He was on the last part of the last lap when he went into the bend next to rider Ross Johnson.
The court heard how Mr Johnson ran wide, losing control and hitting the crash barrier. His bike then ricocheted into Mark's sending him crashing into the verge.
Medical evidence showed he was knocked unconscious immediately and wouldn't have been aware of his multiple injuries.
Mr Needham said although a cliche Mark was following his passion that day and that his loss had been felt keenly by everyone.
