The Health Minister will be fighting for his job today in the first sitting of Tynwald since the summer recess.
Rushen MHK Laurence Skelly will attempt to remove David Anderson from his ministerial position by pushing forward a vote of no confidence.
Nine other MHKs have so far come out in support of Mr Skelly - they include long-term health service critic Kate Beecroft who herself tried and failed to pass the same motion.
In a letter to the Chief Minister the MHKs say they feel matters within the service are unacceptable and that the confidence in the management and leadership has been undermined.
Allan Bell has been asked to replace the minister as a matter of urgency and to take the necessary steps to restore confidence by giving someone else the job.
