The medical director of Noble's Hospital says lessons are being learnt regarding patient safety.
Stephen Upsdell was speaking during an update to the Island's politicians.
The number of complaints from patients at the hospital has risen for each of the past three years.
The Department of Health claims these numbers are no higher than in comparable hospitals in the UK.
However Mr Upsdell does concede that some issues regarding patient safety were unavoidable:
