A plea has gone out to people who are victims of domestic abuse not to suffer in silence.
Abuse figures on the Island have been described as high and it’s feared many more people are suffering but are too frightened to come forward.
Local charity Victim Support offers people a free, entirely confidential service which is separate to the police force.
