Peel Lifeboat was called in to action today to rescue a woman who had jumped into the sea.
The woman was believed to be angry and agitated when she leapt into the water and refused to get out.
Two police officers entered the water to help but the individual would still not return to safety.
An inflatable dinghy was launched with a crewmember on board who assisted the police with getting the woman to shore.
She was then transferred to an ambulance for a check over.
