Three squads of shooters competed in the sixth and final round of Ayre Clay Target Club’s summer Down the Line league at Blue Point on Sunday, kindly sponsored by Dave and Pam Corlett.
Phil Ward led at the halfway stage, dropping just one point for 25/74. Bob Corlett was two points behind on 25/72 with Roy Moore on the same number of points with a total of 24/72. Mike Walker was one point behind with 24/71
Ward held on to the top spot as the wind increased with a second round of 24/70. Alan Kinrade took second with a 25/74 in his second round and Stephen Sayle completed a brace of 25/71s to take the third place.
Results:
A/B Class: 1, Phil Ward 49/144; 2, Alan Kinrade 48/143; 2, Stephen Sayle 50/142.
C Class: 1, James Bradley 46/134; 2, Rob Taylor 43/123; 3, Nigel Moffatt 40/113.

This week at Blue Point is a 100 target English Sporting competition sponsored by the Trafalgar Hotel of Ramsey. All club members are invited to a work party on Saturday starting at 1pm.
