Douglas Council has launched a campaign geared toward smartening up dilapidated properties around the town.
Officers have been out in force identifying which houses need attention - some of which have been uninhabited for over 20 years.
The council is spending over £90,000 to renovate one property which has damp and rot problems that are spreading to the next door houses.
Council leader David Christian says there are existing procedures in place which they must follow in an effort to have the buildings improved:
