Education bosses have reiterated that they have no plans to allow schools to choose their own term times.
It follows proposals in the UK that would see both primary and secondary schools decide their own term dates from September 2015.
A study published yesterday in England suggested the vast majority of parents would be against the idea.
Terms dates in the Isle of Man are currently fixed for another two years.
