Fishermen have been urged to stick to the guidelines which regulate their profession.
It's after a fisherman was prosecuted for fishing with crab and lobster pots which didn't have the required escape hatches.
It's a charge that can carry a disqualification from fishing however on this occasion he escaped with a fine of over £2,000.
Escape gaps are required to be fitted to all pots to stop the younger creatures from becoming trapped so they can breed and contribute to the population.
Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne says the rules are in place to ensure the sustainability of the fishing industry:
