More than 400 people are set to take part in this weekend’s Cancer Research Relay for Life.
It’s the fourth time the 24-hour non competitive walking relay has been held – it will get underway at 12pm on Saturday at the NSC in Douglas.
The public are being urged to show their support at a family fun day which is taking place in conjunction with the event.
Fundraisers hope to raise £50,000 which will be used to fund treatment centres and research which directly benefits people on the Island with cancer.
Nicola Walkingshaw is the chair of the event she says survivors of the disease will play a vital role on the day:
