Parents asked to take responsibility for obese children

The Chief Minister says increased rates of obesity among children will put severe strain on the health service in years to come.

Obesity figures put the Isle of Man alongside the North West of England; which itself is at the top of the obesity table.

Allan Bell says if this is allowed to continue it will create an unsustainable health service, with cases of Diabetes also on the rise.

Mr Bell says ultimately the responsibility lies with the parents. (Play media file below)
