A report which looked at why there were complications with bowel surgery at Noble’s Hospital was never intended to go public.
This was revealed by the Department of Health which is angry that the Liberal Vannin Party has published extracts of report into colorectal surgery.
At the end of last year patients were transferred to Liverpool for operations after a number of problems over a short period of time.
The service has since resumed.
The LVP say they believe the department has misled the public and has sent the report to a Tynwald standards committee for review.
Health Minister David Anderson says releasing parts of the report into the public domain is ‘irresponsible’: AUDIO
